After two years of guiding the direction of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, Kate Venables has decided to end her reign leading the local business community.
Kate Venables said, “It is with mixed emotions that I announce my decision not to stand for re-election as President of The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce in the upcoming Chamber Board election.
“After much reflection and discussion with loved ones, I have concluded that it is time for me to move on and allow new leadership to guide the Toowoomba Chamber into the future.
“Over the past two years, I have had the enormous privilege of meeting members, learning about their businesses, and gaining a glimmer of some of the challenges and opportunities they face.
“I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished during this time and the growth we have witnessed within our partner and membership base.
“When I took on this role, I set out with a shared vision to make the Toowoomba Chamber an even more vibrant, innovative, and inclusive community for businesses of all sizes and sectors in Toowoomba and the wider region. Working alongside the other Presidents from our Regional Alliance has been a delight as well as a great opportunity to speak with one voice on common issues.
