Business at Dusk Winter Networking Event

Networking Tip #1
Say Hi. It's not rocket science.

By simply introducing yourself to your industry peers, you open the door to a world of business opportunities and commercial relationships.

The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce wants to help by inviting you to its next Business at Dusk function.

The Chamber knows a strong professional network directly translates into more business for your organisation.

So, don't miss your opportunity to enjoy a social evening with the city's leading business people and see where your new contacts can take you!

This free networking event is open to all current financial members of the Toowoomba Chamber with registrations from 5.00pm at the Burke & Wills Hotel, Ruthven St Toowoomba.

Opportunity's Knocking!

Industry leaders serve some straight talking

What are the chances the Toowoomba bypass will be built? How is a new economic development board going to reinvigorate the city? Is the Surat Basin boom a beat up?

These questions and more were asked of six of the city's industry leaders at the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast recently.

More than 250 people attended the function, which promised to 'look at what Toowoomba was doing wrong and what we need to do as a community to improve the economic prospects for the region'.

The crowd was not disappointed by the influential guest speakers: John Dornbusch (Dornbusch Partners),  John Russell (Russell Mineral Equipment); Michael McNab (McNab); John Minz (Heritage Building Society); Bill Sankey (Easternwell Group) and Denis Wagner (Wagners) who discussed how they have managed their businesses in these difficult times and how they are gearing up for the economic resurgence.
